WHAT'S MATCHA?

Matcha is premium green tea powder from Japan used for drinking as tea or as an ingredient in recipes. While other green teas are grown throughout the world, matcha is unique to Japan. It is the heart of the Japanese way of tea and has been celebrated in the traditional Japanese tea ceremony for hundreds of years.

Matcha is renowned for numerous health benefits. It is rich in nutrients, antioxidants, fiber and chlorophyll. The health benefits of matcha exceed those of other green teas because matcha drinkers ingest the whole leaf, not just the brewed water. One glass of matcha is the equivalent of 10 glasses of green tea in terms of nutritional value and antioxidant content.

Matcha contains L-theanine, an amino acid known to relax the mind. For this reason, matcha is also known as a mood enhancer. Buddhist monks drank matcha to assist in meditation, as matcha’s amino acids, combined with caffeine, offer a sustained calm alertness over time. Amino acids are also what gives matcha is distinctive taste. They contribute to what is known as the fifth taste, or umami, characterized by a rich creamy mouth feel.

What ARE THE HEALTH BENEFITS OF MATCHA?

  • When you drink matcha you ingest the entire leaf and receive 100% of the nutrients of the leaf
  • Matcha powdered green tea has 137 times more antioxidants than regularly brewed green tea.
  • One cup of matcha = 10 cups of regularly brewed green tea in terms of nutritional content

Amongst its many health benefits, matcha…

  • Is packed with antioxidants including the powerful EGCg
  • Boosts metabolism and burns calories
  • Detoxifies effectively and naturally
  • Calms the mind and relaxes the body
  • Is rich in fiber, chlorophyll and vitamins
  • Enhances mood and aids in concentration
  • Provides vitamin C, selenium, chromium, zinc and magnesium
  • Prevents disease
  • Lowers cholesterol and blood sugar

CAN MEN DRINK IT? WHY IS IT FOR MOMS?

Of course! Virtually anyone can drink it - it's green tea! We market the product for moms as they are the ones who need it most.  But, it will work just as well on non-moms too!

IS MATCHA SAFE FOR PREGNANT WOMEN?

Please consult your physician to be sure.

IS MATCHA SAFE FOR BREASTFEEDING WOMEN?

We recommend exercising caution for breastfeeding moms.  While the dosage is lower than in coffee, matcha contains some caffeine. And of course, please consult your physician.

Why does it cost $3.99 per bottle?

Most energy products use cheap synthetic ingredients costing only pennies per bottle.  We use only the highest-quality matcha directly from Japan.  It is not cheap. Also, to avoid using artificial preservatives, our shot bottles are filled with a special technology which is also costly.  Our ingredient and production costs are substantial, making the price per bottle similar to other natural energy solutions.  In addition, we support a non-profit which saves lives of children and women.

IS IT AVAILABLE AT THE STORES?

MommyGO is offered at select retailers with whom we work directly.  We save costs by not working through distributors who take a lion share of the price paid by consumers. Instead, we invest in quality ingredients and production process.  Eventually, once we grow to a much larger scale, both of these will be somewhat lower and we will transition into mainstream retailers, for convenience of our clients.  For now, please buy MommyGO online.  Generally, we ship your order within 1-2 business days.

Where is MOMMYGO made?

MommyGO formula was created by a leading beverage development agency in Los Angeles, California with 25+ years of experience which formulates beverages for Pepsi, Coca Cola, Nestle, and Starbucks, among others. (We just asked them to specifically make ours healthy and made sure they did!)
